Google: Google Reader Gets New Features

Never one to rest on their laurels, Google Operating System alerts us to some changes Google has made to their popular RSS app, Google Reader.
The time stamp you’ve always seen in the reader is the time that Google indexed the article, not the time it was published. Going by how long it sometimes takes my posts to show up between the time I write them, and I see them in Reader, it can take quite some time. By hovering your mouse over the time stamp, you’ll now be able to see both the publishing and indexed times.
You can also see in the screen shot that Reader got a new favicon today.
They’ve also added some new keyboard shortcuts (you can see all the existing ones in our 230 Keyboard Shortcuts for Top Web Services)
a = add subscriptions
g d = open the feed directory
e = email the current item
Lastly, now when you click on “Mark all as read”, a confirmation window pops up to confirm the action. This one may be a bit of overkill, but to each their own.
